Auracast

EAA Chapter 1088, in an attempt to improve audio quality for members who use hearing aids, has installed an Auracast device.  This device allows program audio to be broadcast directly to a members hearing aids.

Auracast is a wireless broadcast audio technology that lets a single device stream sound to an unlimited number of nearby Bluetooth receivers, like hearing aids, earbuds, and headphones, at the same time.

To take advantage of this technology you will need to open the hearing aid application that you have on your Smartphone.  The following provides a brief overview of this process on the Samsung S-23 (Android) phone that I use.

Click on the Audicast icon on the phone app.

After clicking on the icon, the audio from the
presentation should be audible in your hearing aids.
